There is a commonly held misconception that self-care is selfish.
In fact, it’s actually quite the opposite.
Think of yourself as a cup.
If you are empty not only do you not have anything to give yourself, you don’t have anything to give to those around you either (family, friends, job, life responsibilities).
We often feel like we don’t have time for self-care, or to do the things that fill our cup and we feel guilty/selfish for taking even the smallest amount of time for ourselves. However, f you take a few minutes to fill your cup each day, not only will you feel vibrant and full, you’ll be able to give your best self this those around you and be much more productive.
I encourage you to think of small ways you can fill your cup and practice doing one each day😊
